Feminist Book club

The Feminist Book Club is a collective space for readers committed to exploring bold, new ideas through books published
by Feminist Press.

Two women are kneeling on the floor, engaging with an open book that has a Feminist Press logo. One woman has pink hair, a gray checkered blazer, and striped pants, while the other has dark hair, a white sweater, and gray pants. Behind them is a neon sign that reads 'Feminist Book'.

We gather to read work that challenges systems of power, centers marginalized voices, and imagines more just futures.

Together, we engage in thoughtful discussion, critical reflection, and shared learning, honoring literature as both a tool for resistance and a source of connection.

Guided by the belief that reading is a political act, we approach each text with curiosity, care, and a commitment to intersectional feminism, informed by the ways technology, censorship, and access to information shape our lives online and offline.

As bell hooks reminds us, “The function of art is to do more than tell it like it is. It’s to imagine what is possible.”

Our book club exists to do just that: to imagine, question, and build possibilities through feminist writing. Our mission is to create safer spaces and be in community with action-oriented goals, combined with our bi-monthly read.

Our first gathering will take place at Skylight, Los Angeles.
